To put it in layman's terms, there is nothing of interest in how or where he was born. Sure, it would possible to say that he lived in a middle class family and that he was the middle child of three. It isn't impossible to elaborate on what has and hasn't affected Theron as a person. Certainly, it wouldn't be difficult—reciting a person's life word by word until one has reached the present. Yet, does that truly matter in the grand scheme of things? In Theron's eyes, the men in history books are only noted for three things: They lived. They took action. They died great. For the past twenty-three years, Theron would find himself wrapped up in the routine of everyday life. Constantly unsurprised by the daily occurrences life had to reward him. As he continued on that path, he attained an education—managed to attend university on a scholarship ride. Not to mention, Theron had a future. He would become a defense attorney and, if he played his cards right, could life a comfortable and "successful life." And that was exactly what Theron had done until he woke up on his twenty-third birthday and said, "I'm going to die this way." If the world was in a constant flux, then why was nothing changing before his eyes? Why was each and everyday the same? Right there and then, he realized that there was a prominent absence in his life, and with that absence came an unbearable pressure brought by monotony, vacancy, and a life without meaning. He recalled the days spent carelessly bickering with his siblings, messing around during school, or ignorantly shouting out his dreams and desires to the world. Every day had looked so promising, so where did that go? That feeling of fulfillment and excitement for what had yet to happen. Finally, Theron had reached a conclusion and, as if in a trance, dropped out of university without a word. He hadn't bothered contacting his family, only ever telling his best friend, the decision he had come to. For the past year, Theron had been making a living doing odd jobs and smooching off space on his companion's couch to sleep on. And each day, Theron would go out in search of...something he couldn't quite understand.
