She breathed in deeply and allowed herself to stumble off. It was routine for her to spend a few hours at the railroad tracks, frequenting the place the same way a ghost might haunt a house they died in. She spun herself slowly around and sighed. The tracks brought back a lot of memories long buried away from her childhood, ones that made her smile and caused her eyes to burn with unshed tears. She balanced herself wobbily on the tracks, arms flailing as she tried to keep her balance. Her mother laughed and walked alongside the child, arms ready to catch her should she fall. The little girl smiled widely and held her mothers hand, jumping down and stepping aside as a train rattled by. Watching the worn down cars roll by she brushed her hair from her face, despite the fact that the wind caused by the machine made it whip right back around her. With a smile she was lifted by her mother, crossing the tracks after the train had passed. They walked up the stone steps carved into a ledge. She ran ahead with a shout of joy toward the fenced in yard of a yellow house where a German Shepard ran around barking happily. Tail wagging the large dog leapt up on the fence and barked, licking the girls face as she raced through the gate. "Sasha!" Snapping back into reality Dahlia idly looked about her, wiping her face of the residual wetness that had accumulated. Shaking herself clear of the memories a sharp pain ran through her skull, the stress of the memory on her physical body caused a migraine, and her mind became clouded and muddy. With a slight hint of annoyance she cradled her head between her hands. Hearing a sound she whirled around, and made a small noise as Zero appeared to wrap around her legs, nearly knocking her over with his size. She bent down to stroke the large cat and cooed affectionately to him. "Don't scare me like that."[/style][STYLE=background-color: f8f8f8; width: 230px; padding: 10px; height: 30px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; font-family: tahoma; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px;][STYLE=background-color: 2c2927; color: f1f1f1; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; letter-spacing: -1px; overflow: auto; height: 20px; padding: 5px; text-align: center;]tagged open ● notes kitty be big[/style][/style] |
