Her second day had turned out even better than the first. One of the things she loved most about small towns was the fact that everyone seemed to know everyone else. The number of customers through her store doubled from the day before, many stating that someone had referred them there. She'd taken it as a good sign and decided to stop at one of the automotive stores after she closed the shop for the day. She was treating herself as a reward for the first two days being even more successful than she'd imagined. After her trip to the store she decided to spend some time working on her car for the first time since she'd arrived in Stony Brook.
After quickly changing her clothes to something loose fitting (and wouldn't matter if she got a little grease on it) and removing all of her jewelry, she started working on the car. She lifted the hood and set to work with a smile on her face. It had been too long since she'd been able to do this. In what seemed like no time at all, she got involved with her work. She didn't mind that she was currently on the side of the street as she worked. She didn't have a garage to work in and if she used one of the body shops, then she'd probably have to pay rent to keep her car there until she was able to fix it.
Matt had the carburetor out and made the adjustments and was ready to put it back in. She used the back of her hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead. Without realizing it she left a streak of black grease across her forehead from her hand. She had the carburetor in position and realized after she had it all lined up that she needed the wrench. Thankfully, she heard footsteps nearby. Perhaps if she could get the person to get the wrench out of her toolbox then she wouldn't have to realign the carburetor! "Hey, could you do me a favor and get the wrench out of my toolbox?" She asked as she used her head to gesture to the toolbox on the ground a few feet away from her.
CHILLIN WITH?!? Open
LYRICS?!? Blackmore's Night
OTHER?!? Between the loose clothes and the lack of jewelry, she really looks like a boy, so if someone wants to mistake her for a boy, go for it!
