He was... sort of coming over without an invitation. Okay, maybe he'd given Benjamin fair warning with the text that said, "If you don't get your ass over here, I'm coming there," but without a response from him, he felt like he might be intruding. Still, he'd made the long shlep over with his guitar slung over his back. It wasn't even that he needed to play music with his friend... he just... really wanted to see him. Lee wasn't entirely in denial though - he knew he was crushing on his friend, bad even. The problem was he didn't really want to ruin anything they already had. Maybe if he had some kind of reassurance that things would go well (because in his experience... relationships often didn't go well...) then he would just come forward and ask the fellow Aries out. But he was too scared. Too cowardly. He really didn't want his heart broken. The rift that was in there already was only just beginning to close up from the stupid amount of loss and heartbreak he'd experienced in his young life. For a moment, he stopped and wondered if maybe he was living some sort of cursed existence. Maybe this was karma's way of telling him he should believe in fate - but like hell he'd put his trust in something so blindly. Leonardo was much too cynical for that.
