The First Life? she thought, as she held the book in her hands. Opening the book, Tyler stared at the first chapter's title: Meeting the Rest of Your First Life, Tyler Morgenstern Style.
It didn't make sense, because Tyler Morgenstern? It was her name.
Meet Tyler Morgenstern, typical high school social outcast. What happens when she discovers a book that helps her with the rest of her 'First Life'? What happens when she discovers... she's not exactly human? So, I've decided to write a book. You may write comments as I write the other chapters. Criticism is accepted, but no real bad flaming.

Light flooded through to her eyes, causing discomfort. The black haired girl slowly blinked open her eyes, showing bright blue irises. "Ugh, morning," she said quietly, her voice raspy and rough from her mouth and throat being dry.
"Need some water, sis?" a melodic voice said from the other side of her bed.
"Mhmm," she hummed out, getting up slowly and stretching, then taking the water out of her twin's hand. "Thanks, Taylor."
Gulping down the water quickly, the high school girl set the glass down on her black dresser lightly, then yawned loudly as her sister was leaving the room. "I heard that giggle, Taylor!" she shouted out, then got out of bed, her long blue nightgown touching the floor.
It seemed that her sister got everything good. The name, especially. What girl had the name 'Tyler'? Her sister was pretty, popular, and tanned nice and good, almost never getting sunburned. She was blonde and short in a cute way, with deep, Caribbean blue eyes.
On the other hand, Tyler here was not popular, and her skin was always pale because it burned too easily, so she never went out in the sun. Her hair was a deep, midnight black, like their father's, except it looked good on him. And her eyes were a light blue, very light, and contrasted with her hair greatly. And by greatly, she means that it looks horrible.
She got her school uniform, a black blouse with a white blazer and a mint green tie, signifying that she was a freshman. It had a white checkered skirt that went down to mid-thigh, and black tights. The only things that were different from the other students was the colors, and that was because she was in the special, smart class, along with her sister.
Although, she wasn't nearly as smart as Taylor.
Tyler quickly showered, and got out, towel-drying her hair, then putting on her uniform. She then brushed her hair, and put it in a long ponytail, a braid going across her forehead and into the ponytail.
She sighed, then looked in the mirror. "Like I thought, it doesn't suit me," she said, and took it out, leaving it down after brushing it again.
"Tyler! Breakfast is ready!" her mother called from downstairs, and Tyler shouted back that she'd be downstairs in a minute.
Looking in the mirror, her last thought before she blacked out was, I wish I could change.
She woke up a couple hours later, in a room with bright lights. Is this heaven? she thought, and was answered with a male voice.
"It's not heaven. It's a hospital," he said, and Tyler looked over at him.
He has long, dark hair, which normally doesn't look good on guys, but he made it work. His eyes were a light green, but looked kinda... feline. Anyways, he was hot, and her sat there like he knew it.
"Huh. And I'm guessing you just read my mind?" the black haired girl said, sarcastically.
Smirking, the man answered, "And if I said I did? Would you be scared?"
Tyler scoffed, although her heart was beating faster for some reason now. His smirk morphed into a genuine smile, and he handed her a black book, bound with leather. "Read this, I'll know when you're done, and I'll come and see you when you are," he said, and put the book on her lap.
When she blinked, he was gone. Had she fallen asleep? That had to be the answer, because nobody could move that fast.
Tyler picked up the book, and worked herself into a sitting position.
The First Life? she thought, as she held the book in her hands. Opening the book, Tyler stared at the first chapter's title: Meeting the Rest of Your First Life, Tyler Morgenstern Style.
It didn't make sense, because Tyler Morgenstern? It was her name.
