[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true] halexia suhail the jig is up, the news is out, they've finally found me. the renegade who had it made, retrieved for a bounty. never more to go astray, this will be the end today of the wanted man. Some would think that doing handstands at the end of a fish-smelling pier was something close to insanity, or, if not insanity, foolishness. Weirdness. And they would likely be right, due to a number of dangers and potential health hazards. But Halexia was not the sort to see the world in the way others did. First of all, the docks were not just a smelly place with rickety boards and wrinkled old men. It had its own beauty, with the gentle lap of the water against strong pylons and the laughter of the men as they tied their boats to the dock. Secondly, Hal was always good at finding the out-of-the-way, backwoods places. She loved meeting new people, people who lived outside of the petty world of schools and cafes and retail shops. Like a breath of fresh air. Her palms scraped against the rough wood as she balanced at the end of the structure, muscles tight as she swayed lightly, concentrating on keeping her body straight so she didn't topple over into the water. Not that that would be entirely a terrible experience, except the air had a nipping chill and the water was likely much colder. She looked down the dock, upside-down, for a few long moments, admiring the perspective change. Then she took a deep breath and went back down to her feet, flipping her now-untidy hair back over her shoulders with a toss of her head. She spun around on one sneaker-clad foot, arms stretching over her head. She knew she should probably be looking for a job, otherwise she'd likely be late on her apartment payment once again and she'd end up living out of her car, as she had when she first got to town. "Not that that was so bad," she mused with a smile, sitting with her feet dangling over the edge, laying on her back with her arms spread wide. Cerulean eyes looked up to the sky, and to outsiders it would look as if Halexia Suhail didn't have a care in the world. She wasn't good at holding down jobs, or even staying in one place for too long. If she got evicted... well, that would be its own experience, now, wouldn't it? A content smile spread on her lips as she closed her eyes, taking in the autumn sun. tags -- open to anyone! words -- 390 notes -- Thiiiiiis is a large amount of poop and I apologize.
