Having moved to New York when he was just but a few months old, he has no recollections of the country his parents lived. His father, Jacque Roxton opened up an electronics store, providing Cameron with the sufficient funds to have a decent upbringing. Rosalie Roxton, his mother, happened to be a singer and a certified high school teacher back in her homeland, continued her career in America, teaching music in the local high school. As his parents were both focused on their jobs, Cameron was often left to just his own devices or more commonly under the "supervision" of Dominick, his brother three years his senior. Growing up Cameron was highly influenced by his brother. He would listen to the same kinds of music, wear the same kinds of clothes, do the same things his brother did resulting in his brother's friends affectionately dubbing Cameron as "Lil Dom". Even with the numerous pranks and teasing his brother did on on him, Cameron had an extremely close bond. When Cameron was 12, his brother entered a phase of his life where he became interested in creating music under the influence of a cousin of one of his friends who happened to be an actual DJ. This phase naturally quickly transferred onto Cameron and for a few short weeks both brothers would work on attempting to create music on programs Dom downloaded. Dominick would quickly grow bored of it and quit whilst Cameron became absorbed and addicted. Seeing how interested his brother was, Dom eventually was able to introduce Cameron to the DJ he had met. As he reached his teenage years, the DJ took Cameron under his wing. Although he never outright stated that he wanted to become a DJ, it was obvious from his actions and his expressions as he mixed and worked with music. He slowly began making a name for himself by DJing at parties and through word of mouth at school. As he reached older he began to start DJing at clubs. Despite being underage, with the connections his brother had, attaining a false id was as simple as flicking a switch. The bond with his brother still remained however they found themselves spending less and less time together as Cameron entered the music scene whilst Dom was on his downward spiral with the wrong crowd. By the time he had graduated high school, Cameron had made a name for himself in the underground scene as DJ Roxto. His brother on the other hand was too far deep in a cocaine and marijuana addiction. Never having applied for college, the music industry was Cameron's only plan. This was rattled the day he was sitting in the hospital hallway, his brother next door confirmed dead by overdose. For the following weeks to come Cameron just didn't know how to cope. A musical block prevented him from performing at any clubs, any parties or simply even touching his equipment at all. Having absolutely no idea what to do, Cameron traveled around the country. Using the money he saved up from his DJing, he was able to explore most of the country as he pondered upon his life. Around a year after traveling, Cameron eventually stumbled upon Stony Brook.
